I mean, they aren't helping them by taking on a bad player, Reilly Smith is a top 6 forward that would provide the Avs some forward depth that they kind of need to replace the space Saad left.

Why would Vegas move the money they need to move and also get super paid for a rental?

The 2nd and 4th at minimum should be from Vegas not to.

Fair enough, I thought that if i put the minimum like a 4th or a 3rd for smith, that people would think its an underpayment for him. I do understand that Vegas needs to move the money , but thought maybe they can get something for him since he is a decent player

The correct payment for Smith right now is a 3rd from Vegas and smith for free.

They HAVE to clear this cap space to bring these guys off LTIR and they need Eichel off LTIR with time in the season.

No team is paying for him. It's just how this works now.

First of all, they don't have cap space to do it. Secondly, it would be a far bigger favor to Vegas (one of their main rivals to get out of the West, presumably for years to come) than any benefit they'd get.
