My guess is Chychrun was prepped that this year will be god awful. But if he doesn't see at least the signs that they will turn this around he might want out in the coming season(s)

I wonder if there’s a overpay at trade deadline especially with the non rental status. Picks and prospects seem to move a little easier at that point.

Fair enough. I figured it would take either Lundell or Tippett in the end.

If Vegas has anything left of picks or prospects and need to clear cap, I wonder if there’s a deal there, Finish off the all in push.

The Coyotes are anything but mediocrity... They are 0-9-1 and -29, we kinda wonder when they'll even get a win

mediocrity
(miːdiɒkrɪti, med-)
Word forms: plural mediocrities
1. UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

If you refer to the mediocrity of something, you mean that it is of average quality but you think it should be better.

They wouldn’t be doing a deadline deal, that means they’ll be getting later 1sts back. They could easily wait until the draft and go hit someone like LA for a top 10 pick, a 1st next year, and a top prospect. No need to rush anything his value won’t be any different

If Florida trades it's 2023 it loses it top ten protected on the 2022 1st going to Buffalo - not that they need it the way they are playing but I suppose some weird string of injuries could happen.

Late first to buy the term, and another first for player, and a package to take on cap coming back, might be a little more incentive to overpay, especially with the years contract pretty much all ready being paid. Cup hungry team and a injury or two might make it vital to make a move. Your probably right at draft, but could make it interesting at deadline.

Lundell + Knight would get Arizona listening.

And what is your rationale?

Chychrun is a known entity. A legit top pairing D at 23. Brilliant skater, lethal shot, physical. 6'2, 220 pounds fitness machine. Top goal scorer among D the last 3 seasons. Cheap contract for the next four seasons ($4.6 per). Face of the franchise moving forward.

Lundell has a great start to his career on a stacked team. Same goes for Spencer Knight. They have played a whopping 12 games combined in their NHL careers.

Neither gets you Chychrun straight up. Not even close.
