The Avs aren’t doing that trade at all. Anderson is older, more expensive and plays a less important position. Not to mention he has even out scored Girard the last 3 years. Literally Sakic would be laughing.

That would be the case if Lehkonen was not in the trade.

Lehkonen would fit the Leafs better. Better speed, better defence.

He can be in the mix for top 6 LW, if that doesn't work, he fits well on either the checking 3rd line, or can work with Spezza/Simmonds.

Way more lineup flexibility.
