Chicago has Lankinen who's been playing really well as their 1B. Mrazek may have some value after the season when Flowers is gone though. Kerfoot doesn't offer a lot to Chicago as they have plenty of LW players and isn't that great as a center. Additionally, you're asking Chicago to take on a fair amount of cap as a result of this trade which they can't afford going into next offseason while getting older in the process; the answer is no as such not to mention you have the pick going the wrong way but even then, Chicago isn't taking on that cap hit.

You’re not taking on 3.5 million for a 2nd line winger that has been playing well for 2 players that are scratched and a 3rd rounder.

My god y’all really don’t understand player values.

My God, you don't seem to understand that contracts, age and cap hits make a big difference.

Enlighten us with your genius to explain how Kerfoot adds value to the Hawks as "a 2nd line winger" which the Hawks have plenty of and who won't be unseeding Debrincat or Kubalik in their top 6 at LW? Now add to it taking on $7M+ in cap for the next 2 years that the Hawks don't have all while getting older for bottom feeding team versus moving Strome for picks and or prospects. Since I'm sure you bothered to look at their cap situation going into next offseason, help us understand how this helps the team and fits within the cap situation?

You are the one that doesn't seem to understand values correctly in trades; just a typical Leafs commentator on here that doesn't stop to think how trades proposed impact the other team.

Strome is more expensive than Kerfoot next year his QO is 3.6 million…

Also Kerfoot can plan centre or either wings. It’s makers more sense for Blackhawks to recoup assets you will get more value from at the deadline rather than hoping declining assets can get back to form. Nylander and Strome are declining assets it’s simple.

Also Debrincat can play either wings, but y’all put him with Kane to create one of the worst defensive lines in the league. It would make more sense to split them up and play them with a winger that has a 2-way game.

But what do ik. It’s evident you don’t really know what your talking about lol.

It would make more sense to have your lines as:

Kubalik-Dach-Debrincat
Kerfoot-Toews-Kane

Hawks don't want Mrazek. Just because TOR already knows the F'd up doesn't mean CHI is willing to take your cap dumps. I follow CAR...I've been saying for YEARS now that Mrazek stinks. He stinks. Lankinen is better than Mrazek and I'd rather develop or sign a different goalie than take Mrazek's contract next year.

1) Hawks can move Strome for picks and prospects, they don't have the cap space to keep him either or worse yet, take on more cap in a Strome trade.
2) Strome is out of favor with the coach in Chicago, it's well known and documented. Yet this "declining" 24 year old RFA center is a .58 career pgp versus a 27 year old .48pgp 2 year rental
3) Wrong, Cat does not play both wings, he plays the left side always. He also doesn't play with Kane all the time.
4) You don't put two snipers on the same line, Cat and Kubalik...LMAO WOW...who doesn't know what they are talking about?

Kerfoot is not needed for the Hawks, he doesn't fit their top 6, and they don't have the cap space to take on a 2 year rental UFA when they can move Strome for prospects and or picks. Period

Like a lot of leafs fans, you guys propose and support one another's AGMs with little to no consideration of the other team. Moving on...

I think Los Angeles would take Justin Holl for that price.

This isn't enticing for Minnesota as we have no use for Dermott
