Klinger deal has to have Liljegren in it. Klinger (retained) and Glendening for Liljegren, SDA, Dermott, first, and third. Third becomes a second if Leafs reach the cup final. Dump Holl elsewhere. I could see somebody that can afford him long term coming over the top on that offer tho

I would have to imagine Dallas would want Nick Robertson in the deal (for obvious reasons). I don’t see how it would work though because they would need a defenseman coming back.

Not as nasty at all. Why do so many think the Leafs and only the Leafs can go with six NHL Dmen?

Nice thought but DAL gets better offers.

Holl has little value at his current level of play (a 3rd maybe), and if hes able to put it together and play better you wouldn't be trading him.

The 1st and 3rd are not in this coming years deep draft but the suspected weaker 2023 draft?

You get retention, a pick and a pretty serviceable depth forward as well?

What appeared to be a fair offer begins to look poor. If klingberg is up at deadline, a RD who plays 23+ quality minutes a night and produces, at a cap hit of 4.25, and possibility for re-sign, he would be the most desired defensive trade piece.

2022 1st, Amirov, 2022 2nd and Holl for Klingberg with retention.

That's an easy NO for Dallas.

Change Amirov to Nick Robertson and I'd do that deal. If Toronto intends to re-sign Klingberg I'd expect that Dallas would want more.
