Lines from practice and what Could have been

Description
Let us start with the obvious issue here.
Sanford on his off-wing on the top line? Now, they are depleted and this could have been acceptable if two things happened because Brady and Norris can carry any guy from the roster, but only one of them happened.

1 - Batherson & Stuztle. This is happening again and it should be welcomed, Stuztle really needs some help he is in a cold streak but all over the puck and ice. now we also add Paul with this line and you have someone to cover any defensive gaps, a great line hopefully to jump-start Stuztle until Pinto comes back.

2 - Sokolov on the 4th line? I get it, it is his first game, but come on really Sokolov could have been helped so much by having him on the 3rd line with Formenton and Tierney. Formenton and Sokolov played some together in the pre season and their speed and chemistry were noticeable. Playing Sokolov on the 4th line with Kelley & Shaw gives him nothing to work with and doesn't match the kind of offensive player he is.

Finally, Branstrom is back. This hopefully will last a few games, Zub is a great pairing for him to balance out his skating and Offensive play. Really the 2nd LR spot is where Branstrom should be and stay. In the future that is a perfect spot for him to be with JDB, who he has played a few games with in the AHL already this season.

Conflicting reports about Forsberg this morning, started practice in starters net, but spend most of the practice taking a knee at center ice, maybe another victim of the Cold/COVID bug going around the team right now.

Also still having Del Zotto in over Mete is a head scratcher to. Honestly Starting to Worry DJ might be getting close to the end of his usefulness with his line ups he builds.

I think it is mostly a COVID issue, Hopefully. As I mentioned at the top I would have been ok with it for a few games if the following two things happened and only one did.

I really like that second line. I think Paul is underrated and it could be the boost Stutzle needs.

I agree Paul is a very underrated player. I have seen a ton of AGM roisters with the sens using him as a deadline trade, but I think they keep him.

I see him more as a third-line player either LW or C because I think that suits his game better. When he and C Brown have been on the third line together it has been great with either White, Tireny or Formenton.

Nick Paul is a great player but he is either a 3rd line LW or 4th line LW

If you have him at one of these positions, it improves the overall quality of your team.

But right now, too many players missing so play him where you need

I like Sanford (not necessarily his salary) on the 4th ine if he plays like he played recently, but like Chris Tierney, don't want him anywhere near my top-6
