Forsberg coming back to Washington would certainly be something else. If this were to happen, I don't think we'd end up trying to replace Hagelin. Probably just drop Sheary down to the fourth line.

Would there be any interest in swapping the years of the picks? After not having a first last year, I think the Caps would rather do a 2023 1st and 2022 3rd.

I'm not a Nashville fan so I can't speak to that, but I'd imagine a 1st is a 1st is a 1st. Maybe they would ask for a 2022 2nd to compensate?

Hope they extend Grimaldi for a bit

Until he's 30

Good position to get a good player to a cheap deal

Carolina is not spending a 3rd round pick on a healthy scratch.

Sorry.

😑

He has the "underlying" stats of a 2nd liner

Retained especially he's quite useful

As a Preds fan, I'm already not a fan of the proposal even with the 2022 1st. The picks aren't enough value for Forsberg with that much retention. The prospects are looking like busts, and taking a cap dump back isn't ideal. NSH should be able to find a better offer than this.

I rather just let Boro walk for nothing, instead of taking a cap dump back there too. All the other players should fetch a mid pick at the deadline without having to retain salary.

Poor guy was placed on waivers just now frown

If the Canes want him, they'll claim him off waivers instead.
