While it’s nice to be thought of as a “buyer”, not sure Devils are there yet.

The retention on Gibson, Silfverberg and Henrique isn't at all realistic, won't even try to guess if any of the proposed trades are fair value or not.

Would not trade either of those pieces 1 for 1 for Henrique.

I see you're very wrong and thats ok. I am going to link a little video from yesterday's game. Watch and repost a Gibson trade.

Brutal trade with Boston. Holloway is an amazing prospect but I think either Lavoie or Broberg, 2nd 2022 and Cooper seals the deal. If Gibson finishes more than 92.5% in Oilers this regular season and Oilers makes the 2nd round with Gibson playing for at least 4 games the 2022 pick becomes a 1st.

I was bouncing around Holloway or Broberg I'd be fine with either

Correct- Edmonton declines. Holloway is a very good prospect and Gibson is - if I'm being overly generous - an average goalie.

That's a crazy bad trade. The Oilers don't need goaltending right now anyhow, their 3 guys are .920, .920 and .921.

He's a non-elite goalie who is being paid like he's elite. Edmonton certainly isn't trading Holloway for him, that's for sure.

This would miss the point of the rebuild. LA is also not going to risk seeing Vilardi hit his ceiling with Anaheim.

I think a somewhat comparable trade would be Zegras for Roy. Zegras’ point production is about the same as Vilardi’s and Zegras gets more power play time on the first unit.

Vilardi is out on COVID protocol. He's not buried.

If they do end up trading him (unlikely), they're going to trade him for a young left-handed defenseman (under 25) with several guaranteed years in the organization, not a defenseman on the wrong side of 30 that will be a UFA at the end of the season. The Ducks don't have anyone like that.

Additionally, the Ducks and Kings will never be trade partners.

If Roy was 4 years older and on the final year of his contract.

The deal is fair for what Gibson brings. You have longterm goaltending with him for the duration of his contract. Exactly what we need. Tho I would not target him because we can’t afford him. But he has been good so far and deserves a decent package for it
