would robertson, kravtsov, gauthier, and 2022 2nd (higher of the 2) work? Robertson has top 4 upside and is a solid lhd prospect who plays both sides. and if not that then Krav, Gaut, and 2 2nds

I don't think Montreal need LD prospects but definitely RD. And Caufield will be back in the NHL and tearing it up end of this year I bet. Kravtsov is quite a bit older but that offer could work @SevenLeg @Kotkaniemi15 @A_Habs_Fan

I saw one the other day the other day, and I can't remember the two prospects, but it just doesn't happen...Like, you move a solid prospect that's struggling for another solid prospect that's struggling, and you set yourself up to look like an absolute moron if the guy you traded away hits his potential.

I mean, realistically the value is probably good, because you're getting two solid prospects for one, but honestly, I feel like GMs overvalue their prospects just as much as we do.

If Montreal goes for Kravy I guess it'll be at the expense of a playing RW as we've got a boatload of those. Gally and Andy's contracts are likely not movable so it'd be either Toffoli or Armia going the other way (Obviously with adjusted value). Rangers would get a guy that will be on the top 9 day 1 and Montreal gets someone with an higher ceiling and lower cost.

In all fairness… CC is in the minors and being chirped by opposing teams. Sure he had a good run last season but that doesn’t dictate that we would have to pay as much as 3 1sts for the kid.
Schneider won’t be involved. Kravs and Gauthier are an overpayment and RW isn’t a position of demand over there. I just don’t see a fit. However OTT also has interest and they have Bran who seems to be a likely piece moved. I see this as a fit and far more likely than any MTL deal.

Kravtsov didnt make the team because hes 21 yo and hasnt really excelled in other leagues. what makes you think he would excel in the nhl when he was under .5ppg in the ahl? Im a pretty big zach senyshyn fan but kravstov is performing similar to how seny performed in the ahl and they didnt get anywhere.

hes played one game in the khl this year. last year he had 24 points in 49 games, the year before 3 in 11. Excelled? not really. Kaprizov excelled in the khl. kravtsov is doing mediocre there.
