Thats a crazy return for Toffoli.. ARZ is also definitely not interested.
Chiarot probably gets a 2nd/3rd.
Some of these values seem really high IMO.. Also dont think MTL should just throw everything away. They should just play this season out.

If Savard gave a1st for a return. Chariot with 50% off at the deadline give a 1st as a return

I love how everyone uses this as a reason. There were not many defensive options last deadline. This year, I just think there are so many better dmen who may be available that teams rather give their first for: Lindholm, Manson, Klingberg, Leddy, Letang, Giordano. There are also guys like Miller, de Haan, DeKeyser, Edler, etc who may be available who are decent options.. Hard to see Chiarot being one of the players that fetches a first.

I'm curious as to how Chiarot will get a higher return than Hoffman. Hoffman has to be at least a first I would assume.

Lindholm and Manson will cost more than a 1st for a return.
Klingberg and Letang are now in a playoff spot so I don't see their team trade them.
Honestly I'd take Chariot over Leddy

For a team who struggled with cap Chariot at 1,75M is a great option. He was very good on the playoff run last year and after a tough start like all the Habs he's bouncing back.

Dallas and Pittsburgh are actually not in a playoff spot.. but Anaheim is. I do agree though, these guys will cost a 1st+, but I think it is worth to pay that + because these dmen are much better than Chiarot in my opinion.

Hoffman was traded to Florida, with term, and only netted a 2nd, 4th and 5th.

Agreed. Plus, GM's will always overpay for big, shutdown RD's.

Kings wouldn't trade Fa-ge-mo for Allen plus the fourth. Kings wouldn't trade Quick for Allen even up.

The Columbus Anywheres aren’t going to want Lehkonen.

For a guy who has generally put up B6 numbers, I’m not sure you will get a 3rd, let alone a 2nd. I think it’s more likely he just doesn’t get a QO.

Canes not the home for Hoffman, doesn’t fit the Canes style of forward.

If you forgot the circumstances, the guy's wife had just literally wished death for EK65's wife and unborn baby. That is not even close to a fair comparison.

Yeah, and then after a couple of good years he still only got $4.5 x 3
