Well I mean it's because Blake Comeau is in the AHL and Oettigner is goaltending.

Good for you guys. I thought they were going to bl9w the leading but they are keeping it at a steady pace

Dzinger18, here's my friends work, hope you like it. Sorry if it's a little late.

It's a masterpiece. I think I'm gonna stick with this one for the next week. Thank you

Stars are now 2-0 without Blake Comeau, and Oettinger had a .933 SV% in his first game.

Two things are very clear now.

1). Blake Comeau was the main reason we were losing games
2). Oettinger is our best goalie, trade Dobby for whatever you can get

Fun (or not so fun) moment of hockey poetry.

When I saw this Kreider goal assisted by Zibanejad from tonight’s habs vs. Rangers game:

Link to video.
Within less than a second without any previous thought of it, my brain subconsciously brought up a memory of the following goal, which actually caused a pain in my chest.

Apparently I’m still scarred from Game 5 against New York in 2017, and the cross-ice pass involving Kreider and Zibanejad unlocked a memory that I hadn’t thought of in a long time.

In the back of my mind im thinking hes gonna end up being the Ritchie replacement once Ritchie is moved (as basically you replace expensive grit for cheap grit)

Even if not meh who cares, saved us from losing a 2nd round pick that became (Knies)

James O'Brien of NBC Sport's suggesting despite the Ducks playing well they should trade Gibson and fully commit to rebuilding.

LUL what they should do is just stay the course and continue to add pieces that fit best with their team as they potentially in a year or two could make it

If Dylan Larkin tested positive during the game, why wasn't every single player on the ice with him at any point immediately tested and quarantined in accordance with the NHL's Covid Protocols? The NHL describes any person to be a close contact if the come within 6 feet of a person who tests positive.

"Any such person shall be considered to be a “Close Contact” if they have been within six (6) feet of the Index 3
Person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period , starting from 2 days before illness onset, until the time the Index Person is isolated."

Am I missing something, or is this policy full of holes? How exactly did the Sens end up with half their team in isolation before any games were cancelled?

Why do you think this is funny? He’s literally right. The Ducks are a bad team that is overperforming right now because Gibson’s on a hot streak and Terry is physically incapable of missing the net. The same thing happens almost every year with them, but within a week or two they’ll have overplayed Gibson to the point of exhaustion or injury (again), Terry’s shooting percentage will regress, and they’ll be back to being a mediocre, non-playoff team with only a few parts of their long-term roster set in stone, and several key parts of their current roster are UFAs this summer. They should totally trade Lindholm, Manson, and Rakell, Getzlaf if he wants to leave, and while Gibson is more of a 50/50 because his contract is solid and he has term, if they did trade him they’d likely bring back a haul that would be more beneficial to their long-term prospects. If they “stay the course” they’ll likely lose 1-3 of those key UFAs for nothing as they walk, Getzlaf will age out of being an impact player, and they’ll be mired in the middle, being too good with Zegras/McTavish/Drysdale/Gibson to properly tank for a good pick to complete their rebuild, while not being good enough to actually be competitive.

Agree totally with this. Even with Gibson being 50/50 (might not be good idea to be too horrible for the youngsters to be able to win once in a while, and the contract is pretty good)

But if Gibson fetches an total haul from a desperate contender... good riddance. There are prospects like Dostal coming up right?

I agree that Anaheim should sell their UFA’s/Older players but they should keep Gibson unless the right offer comes along
