I just don’t see SJ wanting Girard when they already have Burns, Vlasic, Knyzhov, Ferraro, Karlsson etc

Weird, I think it's Colorado that says no. No because they wouldn't like to swap the players but because Meier will literally cost the double of Girard.

I think the value is fair and it is an interesting idea but the sharks just have such a logjam at D and none of those contracts are movable to make room so they would have to decline.

The idea isnt even in the realm of possibility. Value doesnt matter because it fits zero needs. Meier is finally breaking back out and we cannot afford another defensive black hole on our blue line

This is a hard no. Meier is far more valuable to the sharks than Girard ever could be.
