Will be interesting to see what Flower's market value is come the TDL and if and who he is willing to waive for. If he starts returning to form like he did in the last game, his price will be as high as you can get for a rental goalie which likely starts with a 1st.

Lehner was a younger rental goalie and he only cost a 2nd

Koskinen: .920
Smith: .920
Skinner: .921

Why are you giving up assets to bring in a guy who is .892?

So many guys just want name value on this Oilers team. I get it. Koskinen hasn't proven himself down the road but he is 7-1-0 with .920 so far. Pretty good.

There's bigger needs on this team such as 3C or another top 6 forward and also another top 4 defenceman.

I get it, MAF won the Vezina last season. But he was playing on one of the best defensive teams in the league... and he was .905 the year before that. You aren't getting Vezina Fleury, so why bother?

Fleury ~has~ had the highest goals saved above expected last season, so it wasn't just the VGK defense.
And he's giving up assets because it only works with CHI retaining a large portion of salary.

Lehner doesn't have the post season success of Flowers nor the trophies
