Recently so has either just started playing or was recently drafted (2016-2021)

Danila Klimovich for Vancouver. Kid is a skating highlight reel

then I'm thinking Romanov for the Habs. Maaaaaybe Norlinder

I’ll start with a Habs prospect:
Frederik Dichow G (MTL)
Plays for Kristianstads in the SEL. Off to a nice start in 2021, first year in Elite League. 4-4 2.64 GAA .909sv%

One big steal I have noticed for a team comes from the Jets

2021 Draft 5th round 146 selection

Dmitri Rashevsky

14 goals and 10 assists in 27 KHL games

hmm... as a habs fan i dont know much about him but those are fairly average numbers. I'm thinking he's probably gonna be a backup at best in the NHL, maybe competes with McNiven once Price retires for a backup spot to Primeau

that definitely seems impressive. wonder what his ceiling could be

Holland turning a third round pick into both Carter Savoie and Ty Tullio was some genuine wizardry in 2020.

The Oilers also just signed him, but Matvei Petrov was a genuine steal the day the Oilers called his name 180th overall last year. He should have gone in the third round last year and he's been ripping OHL goaltenders to shreds since joining North Bay.

I say best guess right now is Andrew Copp or maybe even better.

Man Pontus Holmberg and Alex Steeves gonna have a competition to see who makes the bottom 6 as both have been filling up their resume's pretty nicely to make the team next season.

The Jets have one in Dmitry Rashevsky (WPG) 5th round pick:
24 points in 27 games KHL

Mentioned him above. Yeah he is looking pretty good. And even if his lowest ceiling is Copp that still aint bad

For a steal I’m going to skim the obvious Shark steals:

Eklund (7th was a huge jackpot)
Gaudreau (many considered him a early 2nd round talent and easily the 3rd best goalie of the draft)
Weatherby (I mean 102 OA and many said he was a long term kinda whatever project who now looks like a potential 3C soon)

But for more steal type selections I’m going with;

Daniil Gushchin
He’s the type of player that has a high ceiling because of the pure talent he possesses. He is not a steal that WILL be a star (like he still has work to do); but he is a steal because if he can utilize his electrifying hands in the pro game, he could easily become a talented top 6 winger.

To keep it short the second name I’m gonna use is a name not many may expect; Adam Raska. 201st OA and he already looks like he could become a useful bottom 6/ 3rd line banger. But more importantly he actually looked like his talent could develop to make him a 30 point guy who will be an irreplaceable heart and soul guy. If Raska can continue this upward trend, he’ll be an amazing selection.

Prospect becoming a steal, Josh Roy has been lighting up the Q, for CBJ, Tyler Angle has been looking pretty good, Matvei Petrov is someone who i drafted at 77 in the GM Game but fell to 180 IRL who's looked great

I like Brandon Coe a lot, nice pick in the 4th round

Chmelevski was a 6th and i'm a big fan of him, that's another steal, Ben Gaudreau i had at 33 on my board i think

Coe I like a ton, but felt like he’s taked about a lot so I went with Raska!


I’m still a huge fan of Chemelevski but he needs to start getting going sooner rather than later, we could use a right shot forward.
