Savard, Anderson, Dvorak, Hoffman are very unlikely to be moved. They all just signed massive deals with the team or were just acquired which is bad faith for an org to move them in their 1st year of being on the team. (2nd for Andy)

Drouin should be in the untouchable section, 1 more year of his 5.5 isnt bad because he's likely to take a small deal while still being an effective forward for us.

Byron is a cap dump too so he's more of a "We need help" trade

Drouin was supposed to be on the only IF the price is right list. BTW the scratched players wouldn't be being shopped teams would have to ask for them specifically.

The only realistic thing here is Perreault for a 4th
Toffoli is worth way more and Chiarot isn’t worth more but will get more

Why is Gallagher in the unavailable section? If I was new management taking over this team moving Gallagher's contract would be the first thing I'd be looking into... you don't want to be handcuffed long term.

This isn't under new management this under the current regime as I don't think anyone will be fired this year. Also I think Gally will be named captain once Weber officially retires.

Obviously he's worth more than a 2nd + 3rd... he was just on pace for over 40 goals last season. That's not realistic every year but he's usually good for 20 to 30 and he puts up great numbers 5 on 5 while also playing all situations (PP and PK). He is also versatile and can play both wings.

In what world would MTL trade him for a 2nd + 3rd when they could just keep him... he provides way more value than that and he's on a reasonable contract with term.

he's on pace for 18g and 42p. a 2nd plus 3rd is fair. habs should just keep him. they need the scoring.

It would likely be best for both the organization and Bergevin if they moved on after this year. I like Bergevin but I think a fresh set of eyes would be good for this team and Bergevin has done a good job setting up whoever his successor may be... we actually have prospects unlike when Bergevin took over the team.

Honestly... Gallagher is a leader in his own way but he is not a captain to me. We will see but your captain should have respect from other teams and definitely officials... Gallagher definitely doesn't have that.

Gallagher doesn't even play PK and he doesn't help the PP either. He's an aging undersized forward who has specialized at 5v5 but given the nature of the style of game he plays his game will continue to decline as he gets older. His body is already failing him, he's clearly playing through injuries right now and he was last playoffs too.

MTL would be smart to move on from him. Bergevin would never be able to do it he was literally crying at the press conference after signing him... that's why new MGMT is needed. Phillip Danault would be way more valuable to this team right now than Brendan Gallagher IMO.

I don't disagree with you, unlike you though I am not a MB fan but that is irrelevant lol. I also agree that Gally isn't the guy I would name captain for many of the same reasons you listed. IF MB doesn't get resigned as GM I think Molson will promote him to President of Hockey Operations so either way MB will be with the team next year and so will Gally. I like Petry as the next Captain and if we go with a younger guy maybe Suzuki.

Canucks would be interested in Dvorak, but probably wouldn't meet the asking price of a 1st+.

Management loves Lehky and him and Gallagher are best friends. TT said who welcomed him here were Lehky and Gally, Evans is good friend with Lehky. I think everyone in the organization loves Lehky so they might keep him depending on is salary. If he wants to go in the 1.5M range he’ll stay IMO, if he wants 2.25M+ he’ll probably be moved

he's 27 and signed to a bad contract. i guess you keep him if you think the habs are still a competitive team but i think it's becoming more clear the habs are in need of a full rebuild. you sell now on anderson because the price is going to keep dropping as he gets older.

Agree, but we needed a power forward for so long and now that we have one we suck. Right now I’ll say he is worth is 5.5M but not for long maybe another 2-3 years
