Sens decline, don't need another left shot forward, we have way to many.

Not enough Offensive threat to play with current top 6 core and don't need more bottom 6 players have lots.

Detroit declines. We'll keep the younger player with a higher ceiling and the picks.

Yes. Ottawa could probably use Armia, but I think Ottawa would be more interested in Toffoli than Armia. Ottawa also needs defense, so you could probably include Chiarot in the deal as well without retaining any money and still get a 3rd.

I'd rather have Veleno tbh, he's looked mighty fine everywhere he's played (including the NHL) and it would be better for Detroit to have a younger player than an older one at this stage.

i think toffoli will get a 2nd + 3rd and chiarot for tampas 2nd without retention or sens 2nd with retention.

Habs aren't moving Toffoli/Dvorak without getting a first round selection in the coming couple drafts. I know it isn't a popular opinion but I firmly believe that if he continues playing the way he is, Chiarot at 50% retained will fetch a first round pick.

Dvorak has not shown much in Montreal. 1 goal and 5 points in 15 games with a -15. No thanks.

Perreault just had eye surgery, I doubt anyone is giving up assets for him right now.

Guess that depends on his recovery. My understanding is he needed to have an issue with a retina corrected. I suspect, if he makes a full recovery and is available at the deadline he may be a consideration. Not sure whether Holland would be willing to pay a 3rd round pick though. That would depend on whether Edmonton's 4th line had stabilized and what other deadline options might be available available. The Oilers might want to use that pick to bring in a physical veteran LHD.
