It's funny how like every single depth player they ever sign to anything more than league minimum gets unloaded in their AGMs without a second thought

Campbell now has a career .920 sv%

Putting him on par with:

Saros

Vasilevskiy

Noone else ✔

It'd be crazy if he didn't at least get 6M$

Which is effectively an average cap hit at this point

No one is giving up 3 picks including a 1st for one year of Kerfoot even if he does have a 2nd attached to him.

The longer he goes unsinged the higher his cap hit for next year is getting (mid 5's maybe a 6) Especially if he continues this pace, leads them on a long playoff run that we all want and could even be in contention for a Vezina

Yup. There's a lot of these "Campbell for $4 mil" and I don't see how he takes a dime less than the 3 x $5 that Petersen just signed. It would be absolutely shocking. I get that he apparently loves in in Toronto, but expecting him to only take $200 k more than Mrazek is a friggin' stretch.

Jets will re-sign Stastny if Copp walks and keep their picks. Especially with Perfetti waiting in the wings for a Top 6 spot.

Campbell's contract is at minimum $1 million too low, but you can easily cover that be not signing Mikheyev and replacing him with someone cheaper

Quick takes that may be completely off:
-If Holl is playing well, you don't move him. Even if the Blues accepted (Which I doubt they would), Bortuzzo taking a pay cut is a big stretch.
-If Winnipeg can't sign Copp (Probably Hyman-ish money), they'd probably be looking for a cheaper player than Kerfoot, especially if they're moving the 1st. I get that they get a 2nd back, but that type of deal seems very NHL 22-esque.
-Just waive Engvall. He's not horrible, but he's a the type of guy that comes at the league minimum (And there's probably younger guys that teams already have that provide the same thing he does).
-The entire league had a shot at Ritchie, and nobody paid the amount that the Leafs did. Sure, maybe someone takes a chance at him, but saying "we can retain", when realistically you can't (You've only got $122 k in space with this current lineup for 22/23)
-Campbell at $4 mil when Dubas just gave Mrazek $200 k less is as friendly as team friendly deals get. I can't see it. Petersen at 3 x $5 is the floor, and Campbell >>> Petersen. There's a number of teams that will be looking for a starter in the offseason, and it's far more likely that he gets $5-5.5 after the numbers that he's put up.

Campbell has played less than 100 NHL games, bud. He needs to show more. It's likely $5M/3 year deal, or $4.5M/4 year deal.

Campbell is gonna get more than that. You can book it.

I bet Robertson never plays 300 games in the NHL. Injury prone.

The Blues would politely decline that in a nanosecond IMO. They could do much better.

This just looks like another helping of the group that doesn't win anything when it really matters.

No thanks.
