Fehervary has been pretty good for us this year. There have been times where he gets lost in coverage defending the cycle, but that's obviously a coachable issue. I do think we'd like to grab another LHD to try some different looks on the top and bottom pairs (Orlov and Jensen is going to stay).

I thought about Leddy, but I think we'd want someone stronger defensively. I've always liked him as a player, I just don't think his style is what we need. We've got similar guys in Fehervary and Orlov to a lesser extent.

That's fair, I think there could be a deal with Leddy and Greiss with Leddy half retained and maybe some salary going back like hagelin or Kempny.

We need some more all star power. Maybe someone like Patrick Kane with half retained. We need Holtby back that would be great. Also Chase Clark is looking good

Trade for Martinez. Send them Schultz + 2nd Maybe Dunn?

I'm a huge Alec Martinez guy, but I doubt they'd make him available. His mobility + shot blocking makes him way too valuable to lose.

Kane is a tough one. I love him as a player and I think he'd give us a real shot at winning the Cup, but the assets to do that might ultimately hurt us. It'd probably cost Mantha, Lapierre/McMichael, Alexeyev and first round picks. I don't think that's a trade the Caps have interest in making right now given the need to rebuild soon. I'd rather wait until we get healthy again before declaring that we need another star.

Thoughts on chase clark

I'm not going to get overly excited about a four game sample size in the USHL, but it's obviously promising. I'll get excited when he does something in college or Hershey. Goalies are just too random to be overly excited right now

I'd bet that they find other ways to shed cap. Reilly Smith for similar dollars is much more expendable, that's probably who'd they'd get rid of first

We need more of a defensive minded player. Given that we've got Carlson, Fehervary, Schultz and Jensen that are all jumping up in the play a lot, plus Orlov has been going more the last few games. I'd rather get a stay at home guy that isn't going to get caught out of position and lead to odd man chances against.
