Owen Tipette is playing in the top 6 on one of the best teams in the league they aren’t trading him for a guy who can barely crack Ottawa’s lineup

Ottawa would need to add. Brannstrom had a great season last year, over a ppg in the AHL and 13 points in 30 games in the NHL. Ottawa fumbled his development this year and kept him out too long, now he finally gets his chance, starts making a difference and breaks his hand. Good player, great prospect but cant catch a break.

Don't love Tippett's game but the swap is interesting, just depends on what would need to be added.

Would a 2nd or another player interest them? Maybe a Victor Mete who is young, cheap and fast (and good at zone exits) would improve their depth?

Or I don't know, a Sanford or Tierney with retention?



Yeah, he could be what the Sens need though so I guess it'd depends on what the Panthers would have as a plan on RW

That being said, "a guy who can barely crack Ottawa’s lineup" doesn't explain Brannstrom's context in Ottawa at all
