i dont think so, dylan strome is a healthy scratch + hawks are looking to rebuild. kassian is not a cap dump which is why i retained 1 million of his salary, so its more fair. i think the trade is a bit weak though, i would go to a second round pick if the hawks declined upfront.

Trade is fair but Boston is not interested. Not until Studnicka is ready to take a middle 6 center spot anyway.

Hawks and Yotes don’t even consider.

Hawks don't want Kassian in the slightest. Strome's story is too long to get into to be perfectly honest. If you want Strome retained. Hawks would likely do it.
Picks/prospects . Kassian in any shape form is a huge negative. PLUS in the playoffs EDM might want more physicality.

thats fair, that boston trade was just to get the chychrun trade under the cap, the only reason it was boston is because i like haula and i heard rumors that boston is looking for an offensive defenseman. that trade wouldnt happen until the deadline anyway when the chychrun deal is made, so maybe studnicka would be ready to go by then

i agree, i thought kassian would be complimentary but to a rebuilding hawks team they would probably just want picks + prospects. i would maybe replace kassian for another third or even a second in that deal, and just retain some salary on stromes part.

Yotes are not trading Chychrun and they’d get a better deal than that if they did.

like i say i would go broberg and even the 2024 first point is we need a competent 2LD instead of keith. chychrun does cost a lot so maybe girard in colorado would be a better way to go, hes on the trade block as well which would make getting him easier.
