Honestly that 1st rd pick needs to go the other way along with Miller if Devils are to give Mercer up.

Mercer is 20 years old and on an ELC for 3 years and playing extremely well, I don't see why they'd move him right now.

I’ve had this chat with devils fans a few times over Fiala and I have to say they were right, and being rewarded for their belief in Mercer. I think you need to think of him as an established 3C that will likely be a 2C with team control for 6 more years.

as I'm sure you've deduced from the comments here, this is way off base. Mercer has been the Devils best player since Hughes went down, they have zero interest in moving him.
