No thanks. Zucker and Pettersson are good (as you said) and that Duchene contract is terrible.

It's not that the Brannstrom trade is not fair but I hope the Sens wouldn't do that

Matt Murray has won 2 Cups and played under pressure before. Gustavsson is still quite young for a goalie and has very little experience. They can share the load, Murray acts as a stop gap, reducing the pressure for the young goalie. I don't want Anton Forsberg the one to be doing that, he's not very good. You need to protect your "goalie of the future" (even if I think it's going to be Sogaard ultimately)

Since Filip Gustavsson has started playing in the NHL (March 17th), both goalies have had the exact same save percentage (0.924 SV%) so while Gustavsson has been very good, Murray is now underrated. So it's pretty much a big misconception now that Murray sucks because he was the one playing at the beginning of the 2020-21 season. If the Sens didn't have Murray then and Gus was thrown into the wolves, he would be considered a bust at the moment.

I don't think you can call it selling high on Jeannot, when you're taking a significant buy out like that in return.

The PIT proposal is pretty brutal for NSH. Two bad contracts and giving up sizeable retention for NSH's best forward right now.

Take out Hickey and the retention, and the Ekholm proposal is closer. I still can't see NSH considering it though, given they just re-upped Ekholm.

Even without taking back the aging vet contracts, I'd rather keep Evangelista than have a 1st three years from now.
