Pearson is too risky a gamble for the Leafs in their current cap situation. They took that gamble on Ritchie and it hasn't turned out well, they probably won't be doubling down on another one with a higher cap hit and longer term.

Jackets aren't trading Jenner. Career goals pace, named captain, under contract through 2025-2026

Umm, Vans 1st is probably gonna be a good pick though.

Miller > Jenner how is CBJ getting the higher pick here?

    Jenner career PPG is .46
Miller is .65 (.99 with VAN)

You might get a few yes answers. Seattle and Vegas, maybe also Chicago.

Your 100% correct I would actually prefer Miller to Jenner. However I know with what he brings on and off the ice. The management team views him probably as valuable as laine and bjorkstrand. And with his extension in place they definitely won’t be moving him anytime soon.

I would think we wouldn't be so high on getting Motte back since Stan is gone. That was his MO but now that he's gone its unlikely.

I also think Strome is viewed in a better manner with the new/interim leadership group.

I agree that Miller is probably the better player but somehow I get the feeling that he is a source of discord on this team. He would probably be a lot happier playing for his home city.
Jenner is great player at a lower salary with proven leadership qualities, that is why I want to make the trade more attractive to CBJ.

Stars pass. Glendening and Jani have been really good fits. Hanley is an ideal seventh defenseman. Give us Dickie back for Faksa lol

typically guys who are the source of discord don't get the 'A' VAN has no issues with Miller.
