I like boeser but the main issue here is next year he's gonna be making 7.5 on his qualifying offer, where girard will still only be making 5 mil. So we'd be paying 2.5 mil more for maybe 15 more points. It doesn't seem worth it in the long run.

You’re right about the Q.O. amount, but Sakic could try to negotiate a nice extension with him before the end of the season at a lower AAV than that.

avs really dont need a shake up, they need to stop being cursed and getting injured

Boeser would a guy they would be interested in wiht a hypothetical girard trade however Boeser contract status is iffy, unless hes signing a long term contract around or at the same AAV as Girards, I dont think its a good idea for the avs

I like him too but also don't see him as the best fit. Kadri and Burakovsky can both find the net, and that's Boeser's greatest strength too. I'm not saying that's bad or that any of them are one dimensional, but rather that a play driver and puck distributor might be a better fit. Contract status is a big one too though.
