As a neutral fan, I wouldn’t trade for Caufield or Lafreniere. They’re both terrible

Im not sure why they would trade Lefreniere for anything short of a Kings Ransome.
Trading former 1st OA almost never happens unless they're a bust for this reason.

I'd love Lefreniere but whats the point of adding a player to our Strongest part of our team when we desperatly lack a 2/3rd line Center and a #3-4 D to relieve pressure off Petry.
I mean moving out the pieces in the deal doesnt phase me given the return

1. Not sure where you guys are hearing that we want Chiarot. We are loaded with D and prospects to come up also. So maybe as a CHEAP rental we might add him if we are looking more like a contender. We also can’t afford to extend him lol

2. Laf isn’t likely to be traded. But if he is, it’s more than likely for a bigger piece(like Eichel which didn’t happen) than for more prospects to make our prospect pool even deeper.

The reason Stutzle hasn’t performed very well is the same reason I wanna tank. Our 2nd line is trash. Pinto has been out almost all season but we desperately need another threat like a Kemell, Wright or Savoie. Playing with Paul and Brown turns Stutzle into a checking line player

Both are glorified... KK is terrible. #2 overall and has 2 points total this year.

Mcmichael is actually having a better year than Lafreniere... I saw people claiming Caufield would score 30+ this year.... same people said Dvorak would score 60+

He’s always had very good stats. Just look at his college stats. He’s always been an offensive D , just needs to put it together at the NHL level to not become Sami Niku 2.0

Why would any team give up a second rounder for Armia? Actually that first rounder would be intriguing. Is it about 15th overall, Rangers could be very interested, though hard to predict a 2023 draft order

I doubt anybody is gonna be talking about the Dallas trade, but salary would have to go back to Montreal. And 3 points in 17 games doesn’t get you anywhere near a second round pick
