I'd consider that as a Canucks fan, but it would depend on the AAV of the Rakell extension.

Trading Boeser would mean the Canucks are trying to get younger. Rakell just doesn't fit.

No there was not but there’s Boeser “trade rumours” every year anyway. It’s just people assuming Boeser wants out and underpaying for him on Capfriendly

I’d say the Ducks 1st round pick has to be top 10 protected if not top 15

Lines I’d use here:

Milano - Zegras - Boeser
McTavish - Getzlaf - Terry
Comtois - Lundeström - Silfverberg
Steel - Groulx - Deslauriers

Lindholm - Drysdale
Fowler - Manson
Benoit - Shattenkirk

As long as the Ducks don't know how high the 1st is, I can't see them trading it.

It's a terrible move for th Canucks if that's the case. Rakell is an older, worse version of Boeser that is looking to cash in on a UFA deal.

Why move Boeser for a downgrade, low pick and meh prospects.

Fair enough. Seems like in this case the trade just doesn't really make sense.

Only way this gets considered is if rakell is willing to sign 5+ years at under 5 mil and I highly doubt he will considering this will be his final big ticket

Man everyone has flipped so quickly. Under no circumstances should we be moving this years first. If we win 15-20 in a row ill think about it.

P.S.- This doesnt get you Brock Boeser

edit: Assuming you think the first will be in the 16-24 range
