    But not for all that. Maybe like a 2nd, Lagesson and Turris, lol

    why turris?
    lagesson+benson/lavoie + second

    lagesson b level prospect + benson 4th liner depth forward behind perlinin in depth chart (left wing, needed) or lavoie b- level prospect on the wrong side of what we need(project) + second (The second is going to be very late in the round) for chairot retained

    russel is useless to habs, turris is useless to the habs kemp is useless to the habs he is a low end prospect that is defensively minded 7th rounder, we have more than enough of those) we need a puck mover and lagesson isnt the best but he has the potential at least . Chairot alone will bring a second+, retained he will bring more.

    LMAO you're right, Koskinen is hands down a better goalie! Why would I ever think the guy with 893 games played in his career, 3 time cup champion and Vezina trophy winner last year would be better then then a guy a few years younger and 134 career games and no trophies...oh silly me! laugh

    Sports is all about what have you done for me lately... otherwise I'd trade McDavid for Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe and the entire 1986 Oilers roster.

    A guy's trophy case or past achievements mean next to nothing if he isn't performing today. Why aren't teams lining up for Joe Thornton? 1686 games, 1530 points - he must be worth his weight in gold!

    awesome face

    Considering it was only a few months ago he won the trophy and demonstrated why he's one of the best goalies in the league, you'd think you'd be smart enough to realize the first 5 games or so is an outlier joining a new team, but I'll bite on your comment of what have you done for me lately...

    The last 7 games Flowers has a average .931 save % on a average of 33 shots faced per game. Meanwhile, Kos has a .896 save % on 30 shots faced per game on average.

    You started with a baseless claim "Koskinen is better than Fleury, Chicago should be adding. Deal with it." and continue to defend it which says either you're a homer or trolling at this point so I'm out as it's clear as day to even a casual hockey fan let alone someone who knows the game intimately

    Too bad some actual NHL journalists think it may come to that since that 1st pick is a high one hence practically a 2nd round pick… Instead of undermining others options (spit balling trades, not actual trades you know that right??) you should check the ridiculous options you yourself are putting out there.. Your choices are worse than most one this site.. so if you can’t take the comments, then don’t start them yourself little troll.

    We now have a little more track record to look at. Here are MAF's splits this year.

    Oct .872
    Nov .935
    Dec .910
    Jan .896

    One good month out of 4, one average month and (so far) 2 below average months.

    The Oilers aren't interested. They'll ride a healthy Mike Smith, a rested Mikko Koskinen and a rising Stuart Skinner rather than spend draft capital on an inconsistent rental. Holland said as much yesterday.

    He's the Oilers 3rd goalie. They aren't looking to upgrade him.

    Fluery is a .923 for January so far, not .896

    For the season...
    Flowers = .915
    Skinner = .900
    Kos = .900
    Smith = .898 (turning age 40 before the playoffs start)

    Oilers aren't going anywhere with their current net. Flowers is clearly a upgrade to any of those guys especially come playoffs with a pedigree of 3 cups under his belt; you're foolish to suggest otherwise. However, I doubt Flowers will waive for Edmonton anyways so it's a moot point.

    MAF finished January with a mediocre .905 save percentage.

    I just looked up their GSAx/60 for the season:
    Fleury: -0.311
    Koskinen: -0.324

    It's a coin flip. Keep him. Maybe he'll show better closer to the deadline.

    That's a function of the team more then Flowers as the team in front of him has fallen apart completely. That said, Flowers has had a couple bad games mixed in as well to be fair but the coach is also playing him too much.

    GSAx is designed to capture the defense in front of a goalie, so that's already baked in.
