Do you really think Winnipeg or any other team is going to give you their top prospect that is almost NHL ready for a malcontent that has asked for a trade?

Would only work if Kravtsov is willing to sign in WPG & Dubois resigns.

Is two 2nd and a 3rd enough value for Perfetti? My gut says maybe not, but I'm not sure. (Assumes Kravtsov's value = 2nd)

Rationale: WPG is deep at C with Scheifele, Dubois, and Lowry, so it's reasonable to think Perfetti may not get his look at the NHL level. Simultaneously, WPG is lacking on the right side behind Ehlers, so Kravtsov might be a good fit. Meanwhile, NYR have a need down the middle and not a lot of cap space, so Perfetti would make a good fit.

It doesn't work for Winnipeg whether Kravtsov is willing to sign or not. Kravtsov asked for a trade a month ago and nobody is pounding on the door with offers. So, the Rangers either hang onto him or trade him for what they can get. I wouldn't give more than a 3rd for him personally. He's just not worth the headache.

Perfetti will likely start off his career as a winger and possibly move to center in the future depending on what happens with Dubois this year and Scheifele when his contact is up. So Kravtsov doesn't give Winnipeg anything they don't already have.

Overall, there is really no reason for Winnipeg to take a step backwards and trade a player that is pretty well NHL ready for a player that is a question mark.
