I've never been a fan of Pittsburgh giving up on Maatta. Also, not likely Scandella gets taken in expansion. Minnesota would either protect four defenseman (Suter, Spurgeon, Brodin, Dumba) so Vegas would take one of their forwards. If they protect 7 and 3, whichever of Spurgeon Brodin and Dumba would be taken

So what's the benefit to Las Vegas.? Two guys making 9.85m, 18% of the cap. Vegas would be better selecting no one from the Pens and spend 9.85m on UFAs.

        Dumba i'd say.
