Can’t wait. The Mercer line has already been great 5v5. Would now be facing lesser d-men.

We have insane forward depth

The main thing I can't wait for is the powerplay

And what happens when Wood returns? Unless he lights it up, Holtz probably goes to Utica. But someone will get squeezed out of top-12.

I'm a big Sharangovich fan, but he has been trash in his sophomore year...and Holtz was not impressive...I hope Hughes could make either hit their potential.

Subban takes Tatars spot on the 2nd pap. Subban has been playing really well this year. He also does well with Smith.

I think it's fair to wonder if the NHL has not caught up to Sharangovich... he has hit enough posts this year to continue to believe, but outside that, his on ice performance has been puzzling. Last year he came in warm, after having played overseas before preseason & with little expectation, he may have surprised people ... now that there is plenty of tape and an offseason behind behind us ... scouts know his game & he needs to overcome the adjustments teams have made. May be a long year for him ... next year tell us if he can be more.

Idk, NJ fans like them, but there remains much for each to prove. Literally none, outside of Tatar, have accomplished much. Is there anyone in that lineup without question marks? Nico has probably had the most solid / well rounded career start, but even he can be questioned for durability. Said differently, there is depth of potential, but a lack of depth in accomplishment... which is another way to say uncertainty remains. Typical, given the age of the forward group

Subban has something with Siegenthaler... I'd keep them together. They seem to have good chemistry / play off of each other well. Subban has had trouble finding the right partner in NJ, leave him be. Subban / Smith has a minus 3 game written all over it.

Hope so, Holtz doesn't seem to belong (yet). For him & NJ, time to get back to Utica

I see your point then what I would do is put Graves with Severson because they played well and Smith with Severson. The one game this season Smith scored it when he wasn’t playing with Severson. Also Hamilton Graves have been a good pair but they both aren’t super fast and they give up odd-man rushes often. So put someone fast with Graves and someone fast with Hamilton. But I see your point Subban and Siegenthaler have been good together.

Sure, why not. Need Smith back on track.

I thought Severson was really good his first few games of the season but the past few games he has been really bad. His puck management is terrible he has turned the puck over many times and many of them are really bad and lead to goals
