All of that while dumping mgmt mistakes of ritchie, mrazek, holl and dermott for value exceeding their own.

If Campbell keeps playing like this is gonna cost more than 4 million a season.

Theres an exact same 22-23 speculation everyday, with dropping the usual suspects for unequal value, but the almost exact same lineup.

Theres never an justification to bringing back the same cast. Im not saying drop the big 4, all Im asking is why the below average supporting cast is never changed. Why is an 18 skater lineup always the proposal to the capped club when its never been the solution before? Why is theire unrealistic expectations of KNOWN commodities.

Thats not doom and gloom, its actual acknowledgement that if this years club cant deliver, why would the same cast deliver next year?

This is just silly though. The depth isn't a problem, the defence isn't a problem. The PK and PP aren't problems. The only reason why TO didn't go beyond the 1st round this past year was because Marner and Matthews didn't do what they need to do. Kerfoot, Spezza and others scored enough. JT getting hurt didn't help either.

Regardless of what people want to think or believe, this team is good. Better than last year and a full normal season with Keefe is going to really see the team adopt the identity he wants them to have.

That Richtie trade is probably for any team but the Canes don't need him. They already have to scratch a player better than Ritchie. And I don't think anyone is giving you a 5th for him anyways
