I feel that first could be spent in better ways.

No one is giving assets for Engvall. Also, Detroit is not taking on Ritchie's contract. IF we move Fabbri, with retention, the cost of that would be a late 1st in itself.

Here's a tip: You can add retention to a player's contract by pressing the + next to their name in the trade menu once you've selected them. Type in the amount you'd like to be retained, and once you press save it'll be added.

Fabbri is a UFA, so that takes away what he will get in a trade. Det could resign him next year if they wouldlike too.

As for the first, it's a late first and you could possibly shed Ritchie salary. Leafs need a top 6 LW so that Kerfoo can help the third line produce offence as well.

My point is that Detroit isn't taking Ritchie back. He has negative value right now.

Ya I understand. Makes sense. Ritchie Value is crazy low right now especially for what he is making.
I was thinking of a UFA at the Deadline for the Leafs to uprgade the LW and get rid of Ritchie, to a non Playoff team with another first rounder,
It would only be one more year of Ritchie to filll a roster spot aft this too.
