I don't think Colorado takes any of these deals, TBH. All of them are an example of digging a big hole to fill a smaller hole.

The Avs are contenders right now. Ripping a major piece out of your top 4 is an extremely poor strategy.

YES they would, a 1st rounder in 2022 11th-16th and a middle six winger is a great haul for the Avs. In fact all of these would be a great haul for the Avs, Toffoli and Anderson help upgrade the 2nd line wing and you get futures as well. Yes the Av's definitely take one of these deals, the only one that wouldn't make sense is the futures package and I just included that one for value consistency

I already said he was not being shopped and is NOT available but the packages are fair value. You have to give to get and that is what this is all about, showing what would have to be given from both sides

those packages do not move the needle at all for a hypothetical girard trade talk, Older players or draft picks dont get the avs engaged in talks...and just draft picks is the absolute last thing they would ever want

Anderson isn't even worth his contract and a 1st means nothing. These are all downgrades for the Avs who are trying to win now

No they don’t especially with Anderson’s contract that thing is a boat anchor sinking to the bottom of the Hudson, I joke but only kinda. Toffoli isn’t enticing enough on his own to warrant it and the 2nd doesn’t begin to make up the loss in value. Hypothetical Girard trades are like Beauvillier or Koenecky and neither Anderson or Toffoli are remotely in the ball park of those 2.

I guess I'd disagree that they're fair though. Like, what's the benefit for Colorado in any of these deals? I'm not trying to be a d1ck, but I really don't see it?

No you don’t. In a Girard trade he is the premium piece, a 23yo top pairing puck moving minute eating dman locked up through the absolute prime of his career. 2 on the back end of the prime of their career wingers don’t even remotely begin to represent a good starting place for a trade. The fact is the only real piece that COL would be interested in is Suzuki and that isn’t happening. Why is that COL fans understand the latter but MTL fans continue to champion this bs idea that those 2 guys offer some sort of value or interest to COL? It doesn’t.

Fixing the second line, adding scoring depth and getting futures near the top of a deep deep draft

For once I'm almost in disagreement with all the Avs fans on here. I'll take Anderson, Carolina's first but add Farrell to that as well if you want Girard.
