The Avs aren’t trading the equivalent of 3 1st rd picks for a goalie. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Drouin literally has zero value.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

If a GM did these trades he would deserve to be fired.

The Avs not ANY team in the NHL is trading 3 1st rd picks for a goalie. Maybe 3yrs ago you can make the case for Gibson, but the Avs are keeping all those resources re-signing Kuemper for less money and happier in the end.

I don’t think he’s that big of an upgrade on kuemper for that move. Avs would be better off grabbing a a good 1b at a much cheaper rate

kuemper hasn't been very impressive yet. gibson could be the piece that puts the avs over the top. at 5x5 it's an affordable deal too.

Gibson 3 yrs ago sure, Gibson now no thanks keep Barron, keep the 1sts keep Kuemper. It is at best an incremental improvement at a massive price. These are the kind of deals that really cripple a franchise.

Not even close. That’s a ridiculous overpayment for a goalie that hasn’t had a .920 plus season in 4 years, and has been to the 2nd rd one time in his career. How does that out the Avs over the top that’s BS speak for I don’t have any way of supporting my statement. Kuemper could very well be that piece and you get to keep Barron and 2 1st. You’re opinion but in this one you’re wrong.

probably because he's playing on the ducks, one of the worst teams the last few years. and he's currently .925. he's one of the best goalies in the league and imo more predictable than kuemper.

So 4 declining years are wiped away by 15 games in October and November to the tune of what BUF basically just took for Eichel? There is a reason goalies don’t fetch massive returns in a trade besides goalies being straight voodoo.

The Avs just re-sign Kuemper and keep their assets on the first trade. Totally silly trade to make even if the Ducks accepted. Drouin has zero value. Especially not in a trade for Girard. Girard could fetch a lot better.
