I see your thinking, it's not unrealistic, but I don't know that the Sens are going to trade Connor Brown. I'd been thinking that they can't wait to extend him this upcoming summer he's been so good for them, while kakko's development is still mired in uncertainty, and Brannstrom can't even crack the Sens lineup

I'm not gonna argue that Ottawa is getting bad value, or that this is even a deal that New York would take. I will argue that Kakko has not impressed me at all, and outside of just an insane value drop, I would probably not want Ottawa to pay whatever price New York deems "fair value" for him, on the hope that he figures it out.

I don't think Brown + Brannstrom is tremendously interesting to New York, but I also don't think that Kakko is a good bet to make.

Rangers aren't going to give up on Kakko for at least a few more seasons. 4 points in last 3 games and has been very noticeable since returning from injury
