Anderson is not an upgrade on Backlund, Pitlick has been great.

At some point I'd like to see Ruzicka and Pelletier called up. They can add some upside to the bottom 9

It would be wiser to keep Backlund and his 2 years left than Anderson and his 5 years left

Same production but much better overall play from Backlund

Flames have been trying to get Anderson for a few years now. Big body, a little more suited for playoff hockey. Backlund has a higher skill set and defensive upside...when he is engaged. Too often he dissappears for long stretches of games.

Yeah I hear you. Visually, Anderson looks like a guy you want to acquire... but in the end, results are not always there

I don't think Calgary need to add that 2nd round pick, they're the ones who take the risk with Anderson 3 more years in his 30's
