I'd love the Leafs to be able to do this but there's not a chance they could take on that cap hit with only moving Dermott's 1.5 mil out.

Every team not name the Islanders declines.

Sorry chief.

You can always take another whack at it, though.

What a putrid return for the Oilers. We moved a top 4 dman for Foegele and he has looked very good. Adds a much needed elements of physicality and depth the lineup. A 34 year old UFA 13th forward simply isn't gonna get you a 25 year old power middle 6 forward with a few years left at a good deal. Did you consider for a second what the other teams here might think?

Praise signed in Minnesota because his dad had cancer and he wanted to be close to him. That is completely understandable and not a reason to boo him. Anyone would do that in that situation

Parise upped his payday but getting Lou to come up higher so that he could go back to minny and ask for more. I'm all for going home to play etc but if that's what you want just leave (like Clarkson did)
Parise was greedy and for that reason I boo him, and would never want him back. Stay on long Island.

I agree there are two ways to do it. Go home for the reasons you state
Stick it to the team that chose you and then used that against them, which I hate in any scenario of a business deal.
Was Zach going to starve from not topping out? And if Minny was such a good deal, take what they offered, you really want to be home etc.
Slimy I hope he never raise the cup

yeah you have a good point, I respect that he wanted to go home especially with his dad and all that but what he did was a bit scummy.
