1.
PIT
  1. Kurashev, Philipp
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
or Strome being a RFA also but if Pens want to shed cap then that won't work. Two good prospects/young players on a ELC and a 2nd and or 3rd such as Beaudin, Borgstrom, Nylander, Gaudette, Johnson, etc. could be another option. Kurashev is struggling a bit this season but at 21 years old showed he's a very solid prospect last year and can play throughout the top 9.
2.
CHI
ANA
  1. Gustafsson, Erik
Additional Details:
Anywhere for nothing now that Kalynuk and Caleb jones are back.

Hahah look what I started...

The prospect is sub-par. Who else you go?

Kurashev is a very solid 200 ft player, you'd have to either watch or dive into analytics to see the value especially on a ELC.

See my comments in the trade above. I don't think Kap is going to bring back a top prospect, such as Reichel from the Hawks.

What do you think of Poulin? Would that caliber of prospect be worth Kap?

Honestly, Poulin is super mediocre. He may turn out to be a decent bottom-six plug.

I think Kap is worth different levels to different teams. In the instance of NYR, due to the Kravtzov situation I think this works, but other teams may not be willing to move him for a prospect of that level. I think he's worth a solid 2nd round pick.

Why wouldn't a Chicago 2nd and Kurashev get the deal done then? Kurashev is worth a late 2nd maybe a 3rd at worst.

Beaudin, Nylander and a 2nd another good offer as well.

Then isn't this an overpay for kap? The CHI 2nd could potentially be VERY solid and Kurashev is a good prospect. He's not elite, but he's a solid everyday NHL player.

I'd add...

"and only at 22 years old a lot of upside"

By the way, you should see the debate going on with Leafs fans thinking Mrazek is a top 20 goalie or a 1A/1B goalie with good trade value at a $3.8M cap hit for 3 years. I know you and I are on the same page when it comes to Mrazek. https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/530481?post_id=2802451

I meant that in the context of when the prospect going the other way was selected.

Nylander and a 2nd would work I think.

Kurashev is an OK prospect and no, I don't think it's an overpay for Kap. Kap is a good player and I'm not suggesting moving him for any negative reasons other than the Pens cap situations. I personally think the Pens can probably get a 1st straight-up for him, but I know nobody on the CF boards would go for that lol.

I think we would prefer to move Nylander than Kurashev.

Done deal! Kurashev > Nylander.
