We all know these guys will never ever win. Maybe Ovi, because names win trophies in this league

Won’t win but doesn’t mean they shouldn’t win 💪
However Ovi has a fair shake and so does Shesterkin; he’s the vezina front runner.

Campbell should be in on Vezina; Hart is very ambitious.

Still 60+ games left tho.

Matt Murray saying he’s the scape goat in Ottawa = Benning having a meeting to discuss what’s the issue in Vancouver.

Love to see it.

Tired bit I know but if he just learned how to use his glove hand I think he wouldn't be the problem in Ottawa.

So Brandt Clarke wasn't chosen because he doesn't afford team Canada the flexibility it wanted, I guess he was a "specific" type of player.

This sounds like if a baseball team looked at Vlad Guererro JR and Chris Taylor for a free agent pickup and went with Taylor because "He's more flexible"

Exactly lmao, it's like saying you know McDavid is good but I'm going to take Ryan O'Reilly cause he's more versatile.

Could maybe see the reasoning to have a structure instead of all star team like last year but I mean still. You need a top pair right shot for Power and Clarke was a perfect fit. Who cares if you have 1 PURELY OFD. The kids good and coulda flourished with Power.

I wish there was a feature to mute ACGM from certain teams. I'm so sick of Habs posts.

That's exactly what I was talking about

Campbell deserves some vezina votes as of now and I’m being completely honest and unbiased. He stop if the league in GAA and SV% and has FAR exceeded anyones expectations coming into the year. He’s improved a lot. If he can keep this up he’s more than deserving of podium, while I agree shesterkin should win rn

This actually sucks cause the Leafs C depth is really **** right now. Gone are Amadio, Brooks, now Semyonov. Krill is an NHL player, 4th line C that could maybe play some 3C in case of injury. With how they handle Barabanov and now Krill, a little worried about future KHL FA’s wanting to sign with the Leafs. Even with the link to Milstein

Your over thinking things

KHL free agents actually prefer Toronto as Dubas has shown if they dont get satisfactory playing time then he will make an attempt to move them. He tried with Semyonov, there was no interest so they agreed contract termination. And as we have seen in the past with guys like Grigorenko, Nestorov, and soon Jaskin does not really matter these days where they go or how much ice time they get, or what team they go to its all about adapting to the NHL and not everyone can do it. Neither GM of those respected teams despite seeing them struggle had/has attempted to move them. Its basically a game of chance as not every KHL player will adapt like Mikheyev and Zub.

Reality was he was not very good so meh really wont miss him. Good luck in the KHL is all I can say

As for C depth not really concerned

If one of the top 6 go down Kerfoot takes their spot and for 4c depth Engvall, Seney, SDA all viable short term options

And if they need to look at FA, Staal is available

I don’t believe I’m over thinking it, but ok. Leafs weren’t able to properly utilize someone who was clearly able to play 4th line minutes, which kind of sucks… The were not able to properly utilize Barabanov, which kind of sucks…. Mikheyev has not been happy since last year due to his ice time. If I’m a FA why do I even bother signing if I’m not going to get an opportunity, then just get traded 🤷‍♂️I’d sign somewhere else, no? I did not here he tried to get Krill traded to another team, pls share that. I did see he makes **** money in the AHL and get get way more in the KHL plus playing time.
Yes, he is a loss for there depth. Now you have asking for a young player with no NHL experience on the Marlies (who are short on C’s also) to come up. This is definitely an issue I think they will address though a trade. If Staal wanted to play in Canada he would have signed already.

Options I hope they explore are:
Jankowski BUF
Larsson ARI
Carpenter CHI
Appleton SEA

I'm pretty sure they reached a settlement, which is another way of saying, I did the stuff but I'm just going to give you money to let this go so it doesn't have to go to court

Nah move made sense for him

Now if he played like he did in the pre-season 100% would have been dumb to keep him out of the lineup. But honestly in his 3 games looked lost and just could not adapt to the NHL. AHL though was pretty good for him.

As in his last game against SJ he had 5 big turnovers in which one lead to a goal for SJ. Even in the other 2 games just never looked comfortable or made to many mistakes that either lead to goals or problems for us.

Also AHL pay is less than KHL so made sense.

Plus Mikheyev is close to returning so there was really never gonna be a spot for him
