This actually sucks cause the Leafs C depth is really **** right now. Gone are Amadio, Brooks, now Semyonov. Krill is an NHL player, 4th line C that could maybe play some 3C in case of injury. With how they handle Barabanov and now Krill, a little worried about future KHL FA’s wanting to sign with the Leafs. Even with the link to Milstein
Your over thinking things
KHL free agents actually prefer Toronto as Dubas has shown if they dont get satisfactory playing time then he will make an attempt to move them. He tried with Semyonov, there was no interest so they agreed contract termination. And as we have seen in the past with guys like Grigorenko, Nestorov, and soon Jaskin does not really matter these days where they go or how much ice time they get, or what team they go to its all about adapting to the NHL and not everyone can do it. Neither GM of those respected teams despite seeing them struggle had/has attempted to move them. Its basically a game of chance as not every KHL player will adapt like Mikheyev and Zub.
Reality was he was not very good so meh really wont miss him. Good luck in the KHL is all I can say
As for C depth not really concerned
If one of the top 6 go down Kerfoot takes their spot and for 4c depth Engvall, Seney, SDA all viable short term options
And if they need to look at FA, Staal is available
