If they trade Horvat they'd want prospects and picks not roster players

And since he's a UFA after a year and probably will need a raise to keep him, not sure acquiring him is a great idea for the Wild.

Kings decline. They are better off keeping their young players.

Only one I disagree with you about is horvat's value. I think dumba and little value can bring him back. Because truly I think with dumba's resurgence in his play, like our front office, I think he can bring back a top 6 c

Pittsburgh can't afford that cap without equal salary in return.

Dumba = Tyler Myers for VAN. Neither of those players get a top-6 center in trade.

With Dumba, Fiala, Zuccarello, and Greenway gone, cap space is no longer an issue.

Why would Horvat re-sign a bad team? He'll get the same money on the open market and can play for a good team.

Look at the adv stats, they are the same. Myers is better 5v5 individual and on-ice adv stats.

Do you see this as a bad team??? I don’t! Young, yes…but bad, not even close.

Fair enough. Pittsburgh was a random pick anyway

Nor would they want to pay for any teams cap dump.

Value is ok for Horvat but I would reject as a Canucks fan. Rather keep him or trade him for prospects.

Yes it's a bad team. Talbot is a bottom of the league goalie. It's an average (at best) to bad d-corps. Half of your FWD group is 1st or 2nd year NHL player. This is the ROR Buffalo years quality of team, but worse goalies.

My comment was more a response to him saying Vancouver would want picks and prospects, which the prospects they'd want are what makes your scenario work. Sorry, should have been more clear.
