Chicago doesn't consider that, overvaluing Toffoli too

Chicago is already looking to move Strome and a 3rd is fair value and since it is the Anaheim 3rd it is basically a 2nd.

Toffoli = 1st + a decent prospect (prospect valued around a 3rd round pick)

Kravstov = 2nd or another struggling prospect

3rd = the difference

Chicago looking to move him doesnt mean they will sell him for cheap, especially when he is playing well. A 3rd is a 3rd, not "basically a 2nd" especially since they are 3rd in the Pacific right now.

So make it a 2nd, I was just going off of what Chicago fans have been posting, but whatever.

I do watch games and I know Strome is doing well, again I am basing his value off threads posted over the last month. Just cause he has had some decent games over the last week or two doesn't mean his value increased significantly, he still only has 2 points in 10 games! No one is paying more than a 2nd for that.

Why would you want Strome ? He is an offensive player, we need defensive player. MTL suck this year because our forward group can’t play defense. Only Dvorak Evans & Lehkonen are good defensively. Getting another offensive forwards means less goals for us and more for them. We went from having too many defensive players too not enough. Hoffman Drouin Toffoli Anderson Gallagher they are all trash defensively

If Drury trades Buchnevich, Kratsov and a1st to get a lesser Toffoli, Blais, a 2nd and 3rd he should be fired. The Buchnevich trade was bad enough. To make it worse by trading for Toffoli....

We need an offensive center to fill the 2 hole, I agree we need more defensive wingers but we still need an offensive center. Defensive wingers are a dime a dozen in this League but offensive centers are harder to find. This team is already out of a playoff spot so let's fix center this season and trade some of our offensive wings in the offseason for defensive help.

Dvorak is fine there, we just need to get rid of Ducharme this offseason and a couple of wingers like Drouin & Toffoli

Dvorak doesn't have enough offense and his effort level so far is uninspiring. I would rather drop him back to his more suited role as a defensive specialist/PKer

If Poehling have a breakout year this season, we should keep Suzuki-Dvorak-Poehling-Evans
Or
Suzuki-Dvorak-Evans-PK Specialist via UFA move Poehling on the wing
The problem is the coaching staff and we need dman who can skate. Edmundson-Petry Guhle-Savard we need to find a great 2RHD to play with Romy. The coach will never play Romanov-Norlinder together which sucks

Why would we waive Wideman? He's arguably the team's best D

LOL. This rumour is fake news. NYR needs a rental. They can’t take a contract that they would have to move in the summer.

I hope RP has a breakout year so we can line up Suzuki-Poehling-Dvorak-Evans I just think we need an offensive center to take some of the scoring pressure off Zuke and Dvorak is not that guy IMO. I totally agree with you about the D and coaching though.

The rumor is that Montreal is interested in Kravstov no players were named in the rumor I just made a proposal based on value.

Ok given the cap next year and that you are looking for rentals, where are the holes in the lineup? I know there are rumors of wanting a LHD but I don't see a fit with Chiarot there. Lehkonen is an RFA but I don't think the Rangers need him, Evans is an option but Montreal is already weak down the middle and Kulak is as well but his value is not high enough to be a peice for Kravstov lol. I am really wondering what Montreal and the Rangers are discussing cause yes Kravstov has great potential but we already have so many wingers under contract for 2+ years.

Drury better be run out of NY if he made such a deal. I’d rather let Kravtsov waste away in Russia and retain the rights than also trade a 1st on top of that for Toffoli.

I’m not so sure we are actually in the market for a LHD. Unless it’s a massive upgrade. Lindgren and Miller aren’t moving from the roster and while Nemeth might not be a fan favourite, he is there as a PK guy with grit. Our biggest hole is RW so unless we fill it with Kravs after the KHL is done then I see us moving on a rental RW if not doing both.

Since 2 weeks ago we are no longer looking to move Strome so no a 3rd or sole 2nd for that matter wouldn't just get a deal over the line.

Min cost was a 2nd + 3rd.
