Why have I seen so many Canucks AC-GM's trading Horvat? As their Captain, I see a trade involving him very unlikely...but maybe I'm missing something.

Don’t think Anaheim does it. We more than likely won’t be seriously contending for the next two years soooo ..

Loved Hammer when he was on NYI, but this trade makes no sense for the Isles.

If they are trading Wilde it will be for another prospect in a similar situation or a package for a LD younger than Hamonic.

Ristolainen has really picked it up in Philly and Myers is falling off a cliff with term, I can't see the Flyers doing this

Just makes it more fun to rebuild when there are significant chips in play.
I have seen nothing to suggest he is even remotely as available as JT Miller.

Risto has played well? I thought he was a problem.

Yeah, I think a Boeser deal where you work out an extension is probably the only Canucks deal that the Ducks consider right now (Realizing that the cost would be more, obviously). Miller is a beauty, but 1.25 years of him doesn't make a ton of sense right now. Team is certainly doing well, but they're pretty thin once the inevitable injuries start popping up.

Had a tough first 6 games, but since then he's very arguably been the best defenseman, maybe even a top-5 player on the team

Pulock returns in 3-4 weeks and Hamonic would get put on waivers .

Caps don't do that trade at all. Kuznetsov and Backstrom alreay occupy 1 and 2C, and giving up Lapierre, Iorio, and a 1st is just too much to make it work for DC, I think there are much better moves to make in order to improve the team in the way this Horvat trade would.

You aren’t getting rid of Myers that easily. I loved the “jumping on the Risto grenade” part tho 🤣
