Hm with podkolzin still so young (and frankly limited) and Bjugstad a bottom 6er ideally... Conor Garland basically has to do a superman impression there

Which he can do 😎

But yeah the forward depth is really brutal here and with the D core not great either (carlo very overrated) it just keeps then treading water at best ultimately

trade is good value but bruins won't move carlo unless a replacement of his caliber can fill his spot which we just don't have and to be fair there isn't much young RHD's available on the market so it would probably be a pass on bostons part because of that.

Wow thats a tough one for Boston to say no to. Horvat would fill their need for a legit top 6 center for sure.

still think boston doesnt want to move carlo at all, also with no replacement level d in the bruins system thats a tough sell to the fanbase. ide rather carlo haula and the 3rd.

Vancouvers side of the equation... perfect partner for hughes. him or parayko.

unless bruins had a trade lined up for manson, demelo, larsson or severson i think bruins would be hurting themselves more then helping the team. also another thing aswell is if we are moving carlo who would we rather miller or horvat?

I don't think they want to move Carlo either, but this would be the kind of deal where you atleast pause to think about it.

You could re-arrange OP’s lines to have Hoglander on the first line, Copp as 2C, and move Bujstad down to 3rd line RW. much better layout, though still objectively worse than their current config

That's a bad trade for Vancouver. You can get much more for Horvat. Carlo is not the same player he used to be before the injury.
