Description
I honestly think this team isn't bad in itself and has some quality pieces (more than my habs for example). I think this is a case where a "retool" might be better than a full on rebuild

I'd be very, very surprised if we're willing to move futures for Miller (or any player). Guerin has made it extremely clear that his plan is to build through the draft. We can't afford Miller next year with this trade anyways. The only way I think we can make a Miller trade work is by moving Fiala for futures and sending those futures to Vancouver

Fair enough! I thought he'd fit in well though. Do you think moving Dumba and giving Addison a bigger role is a possibility?

When dumba was named Alternative captain, Guerin's quote was, 'to reassure dumba about his future in Minnesota.' So right now dumba is in the same position as foligno and Hartman that they aren't available. ' also wild can't afford losing dumba

It's the most likely scenario.

I for one don't think Addison will be moved. Under any circumstance. He's probably as untouchable as Rossi or Boldy are. I mean, we have some pretty good defensemen prospects but none that will be on the team for at least another 2-3 years. Addison is the only one who is near NHL ready, if not knocking on the door already. Simply put, we can't afford to move him.

I have my doubts he can stick at center, but if he could then I like him a lot for us on paper.

I do, but Guerin has made a huge effort to change the culture in our room (which is why he bought out Parise and Suter) and apparently Dumba has been instrumental for that. I think the org might value him more than the price most teams would place on him for a trade so it would probably take something big to move him. It probably all depends on his next contract. If Dumba wants more than what he currently makes, he's probably gone. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if we extend him.
