MAF trade is definitely doable but not necesarily needed if mikko keeps playing like this.

I can't see edmonton being interested in girard. He has too much term and he really gets in the way of the big picture of resigning bouchard and broberg. The right side is also not the problem it is the left side.

colorado does not want to get rid of Girard, that is just not accurate at all and has been squashed by actual Insiders like Lebrun

1: Avs have no intentions of ridding girard
2: hypothetically if they did, this doesn't meet any of their needs, a cup contending team getting a late first, a draft bust and a nobody for a future top pairing guy. The deal starts with puljuarvi

Chicago declines on that, Fleury will cost a lot more so long he plays like this.

It doesnt even start with Puljujarvi. EDM does not have the type of player that would be needed to get Girard

I mean pulju has 14 points in 17 games with a nasty 2 way game and is the same age as girard

also plays on mcdavids line that will definitely boost his point numbers not saying he isn't skilled but any player playing on mcdavids line you have to take their point production numbers with a grain of salt remember mcdavid made james neal look good again, as for bruins trade they would most likely accept that barrie would be solid on the third pair with forbort or reilly

its been squashed by local avs coverage and a variety of other insiders as well, but hey dont let that get in the way of a rumour with 0 credibility attached to its "original source" in Mike Chambers

Yeah for sure I agree the Avs don't want to move Girard and Chambers is an idiot as well, I just cant miss a chance to make fun of Pierre Lebrun

puljuarvi would be my ask as well, I bet they try to move Yamo in this scenario but really no interest in him. Plus from what it sounds like Holland is only going to be able to afford to keep 1 in puljuarvi or yamo tihs offseason.

To be honest I think all the insiders on TSN are eating some humble pie with how they carried water for the Canucks all offseason, some even said they were cup contenders and could win the division.

I agree you do have to take them with a grain of salt that's why when you go back and watch where his points have come from you will actually see on over half of his points he was the driver on the line or that mcdavid had 0 to with it.

Must people out of edmonton haven't paid much attention to him since he went back to finland he is actually a play driver on most night on top of that bails our mcdavid in his own end regularly.

you and I could be better 'insiders' than the clowns on TSN/Sportsnet. Bob McKenzie and Elliot Friedman are the only two guys I listen to at all. I don't pay any attention to guys like Darren "we'll just have to wait and see what happens" Dreger

96% of his ice time he is playing with at least 1 of McDavid or Draisaitl (if not both) who have 35 and 32 points in 17 games. All Pulj has to do is touch the puck and let them do the rest

Bob and Friedman are such pro pros and they are so careful with their phrasing, they never paint themselves into corners making proclamations what a team is doing.

fair enough i don't watch enough edmonton games too see how much he actually affects the team i just don't like when people judge skill purely off points. But if edmonton was to try and acquire girard the return needed would be a top 6 winger which is what colorado needs so one of hopkins, puljujarvi, hyman or yammato+ would be what it takes

Yep, and those are reasons why its unlikely Puljujarvi would be traded, even for a player like Girard.

Last 8 games:
Flowers = .939 sv % facing on average 34 shots per game
Kos = .894 sv % facing on average 30 faced shots per game

And probably not much debate that Chicago is worse defensive team then the Oilers putting more pressure on Flowers.

Nonetheless, Chicago wouldn't touch that trade...would cost a 1st and Kos for Flowers at 1/2 retained

Easy no for the Avs for the reasons others have stated above.
