Don't see Tampa Bay moving Stamkos

If trouba could play the left maybe there could be a deal but I dont see it.

With neither Raymond nor Seider familiar with an 82 game schedule I could see Detroit falling off and giving up an 11th to 15th overall pick in that draft for a non retained Trouba would be awful, so idk if Yzerman would be interested wow this reply got long

Craig Smith in 11-12 as precedent there

In his first 40 nhl games (NCAA season length) he had 25 points then only had 11 points in his final 32 games, idk if this has been studied fully yet

Lucas has never played over 34 pro games a year

and Moritz has never played over 49

Offer for Stamkos being underwhelming aside. He has a full NMC which he has stated he'd enforce, and his base pay is only 1 million dollars which means a buyout would only save 667000 in cap space and real money . Therefore it would be absolutely moronic for them to do so.

With Stamkos likely to decline soon that's a nice deal for TB especially with Kravstov and Gauthier moving into their primes, granted a lot of uncertainty

Gauthier is coming into his own, Barron can be the long awaited replacement for Yanni Gourde if he pans out which I think he will, Kravtsov will be an elite scorer, Georgiev is the perfect backup for Vasilevskiy, and since 2023 is an extremely deep draft that first will get them someone good, and the Lightning need to clear cap next year so I don’t know that Stamkos would be sticking around.

Trouba isn't waiving there is a chance he waives for the Islanders or the Devils but thats about it.

With Trouba's $8M cap hit for the next 4 seasons I think his return is going to be very underwhelming.

Wings probably would welcome Trouba, but not at that price. With the Wings cap they can sign a good UFA for 8m, and keep that top ten first rounder. If Rangers need the cap space, maybe the Wings do it but for maybe at most a second rounder.

Tampa Tells the Ranger to Call Next season where they will deal with their RFAs, That or They say Swap Georgiev and Gauthier with Lafrenière and They may consider it, Even then Why would Stamkos waive from a Team he just won Back to Back Cups with, Tampa Wouldn't have any major cap troubles for the 1st time sense 2018 so it don't make sense.

Ask yourself, would you do that deal for Zibenijad?
