As much as the isles need a guy like sergachev, wahlstrom is untouchable for them so it's a no unless u include another prospect not named aatu raty

Isles would want the best cost controlled asset. Don't see this one. Wahlstrom basically untouchable and Serg isn't enough to pry him away from NY

That was my problem though because there is no top prospect that the isles can offer. I didn’t think walstrom would work just because he’s your future goal scorer but I needed some value for sergachev

Sergy is enough IMO he’s still got a lot of room to grow and has been very effective on the offensive side of the game, now I will admit he can be awful on defense sometime and often Causes goals but he is only 23 with 4 years in the league already. And he would be your instant pp1 guy and top 2 pairing d man as the soles offensive d man group isn’t amazing

McDonagh 4 years x $6.75m is not bad. You would certainly get more for Sergy in a trade.

Sergachev would be the easiest and get the most value, but hes also the youngest and if we kept him he needs to be signed in 2 years and who knows how much he wants. McDonagh has been our rock since he got here and while yes he is older and has the longer contract, He will cost less than Sergy and i think he is more valuable to Tampa than Sergy is. Id rather move Sergy out for prospects and picks and use the free cap to keep Cirelli and Cernak around

Thats a horrible trade for Buffalo. The last thing we need is a LD and the last player we would trade is Peterka. Makes 0 sense
