Eller easily should get you a 2nd and i would pass on giving up that much for Pavelski. Could probably get Rad for way less

I love Pavelski and I think it'd be sick to see him with the Caps. But the only way I see us doing something like that is if we're worried about Backstrom and want someone that can play the 2C role if Backy's not at full health down the stretch. I'm also not overly fond of scratching Sprong, I think his speed and shot will be a boost of offense that we need during the playoffs, especially given the instant chemistry he showed with Mantha at the beginning of the season.

I'd also advise against trading Eller until the offseason. He's one of the better 3Cs in the NHL and I'd rather have McMichael on the wing in Sheary's spot and have Eller centering that line.

If we’re out of the playoffs I’m good with that return for Pavs
