So basically a 1 for 1 Fiala/Guentzel swap?

I don’t see why either team does that. Guentzel is amazing with Crosby and in Pittsburgh. And the wild probably trade fiala for a top 6 center.

You are seriously overrating the bloody hell out of Kevin Fiala in every thread you've been in today.

I like Jake Guentzel too. That doesn't mean 1/2 a season of a 2C gets you 2 and 1/2 seasons of a premium 1W.

I agree that this trade isn’t happening, but I do find it ironic that you’re telling him he overrates Fiala while also referring to Fiala as a 2C. If you don’t even know what position he plays, I’m not sure you’re all that qualified to claim whether or not he’s being over or underrated.

Okay sure I'll give you that, my mistake there. Regardless, my main point still stands and trumps your ad hominem.
There is still no chance in hell that even three Kevin Fialas on expiring deals bring back one Jake Guentzel under long term.

Yeah I wasn’t arguing for the trade being good value. There’s no way Pitt even considers this. Although, it does seem like you’re also under the impression that Fiala is a UFA, which he’s not. He is RFA who wants a long term deal.

And not that it at all matters, but 3 RFA Fialas greatly exceeds 1 Jake Guentzel in value.

So you’re right in that this trade isn’t happening, but seem quite off base with some of your assumptions.

UFA? Where'd I imply that? Stop grasping for straws man lol. I made one mistake, not five.
And no, it really does not lol. If Fiala had more years under his current salary then 3x Fiala would be a plausible argument.

You literally said “1/2 a season of a 2C.” ....Whoever trades for Fiala is presumably planning to sign him, so it’s not 1/2 a season. It would be more like 5-8 seasons. Just because his deal is expiring, doesn’t mean they don’t get the player.

As for value, 1 Fiala is worth approx. a 1st or 2nd + B prospect. So that’s 3 1st OR 3 2nds + 3 B prospects. You’re telling me Guentzel is returning 3 1sts and 3 B prospects? Lol

What a weird thing to double down on. Like you clearly don’t know Fiala as a player, yet are certain you understand his value.

Pittsburgh isn't trading a point per game winger on a great contract for a RFA lesser player.
