Minnesota and Seattle brusquely decline. That Devils thing is rather interesting, though. I'm really not sure they wouldn't take that.

Minnesota declines. We are not moving any of Boldy, Rossi, Addison, Wallstedt for Miller, who really isn't worth that much in the first place.

There's zero chance the Devils do that

Just because the Canucks are struggling and are willing to sell, doesn't mean the Devils would trade away important pieces of their core

Boeser and Hughes is better than smith, holtz, and bratt

Sure right now they are but in a few years possibly not
Holtz and Smith are also on their ELCs while Hughes' contract leads him right to UFA. And Bratt is playing better than Boeser right now
The Devils are playing good this year, the Canucks are not. The Devils shouldn't make any significant trades to mess that up.

Are you kidding! We are going to end up trading him to the Rags so that he can't hurt them anymore. No retention and a good piece coming back from NY!

Yes, he is good, but is he a top prospect, a 1st round pick and a good, young middle-six forward good? No. If you replaced Boldy with someone like Daemon Hunt, it would make sense for us.

wouldnt give up a 3rd for Pearson, you think that gets you EJ as welll? He is not a negative asset, he would cost real assets to get from the avs

Why would COL do that, EJ is better than Pearson and contrary to what the uneducated would tell you he isn’t a cap dump. That’s a no from COL.

This is the key part.
When Bratt is rolling, its hard to imagine paying this much for a Bratt-to-Boeser swap as being worthwhile.

Devils have a younger core and are still currently playing significantly better than the Canucks. They don't even have Jack Hughes, Luke Hughes, Nolan Foote, and other significant young talent yet

Easy no for the Avs. EJ fills a need for the Avs and is currently (and hopefully I don't jinx it) healthy.
